Malate Construction and Development Corp.'s (MCDC's) subsidiary, Ovialand Inc., recently launched a landmark residential project in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.
Billed as the Terrazza de Sto. Tomas, the house-and-lot development marks the company's maiden foray into low-cost housing. A total of 333 units are offered for P1.7 to P3.2 million each, with three models to choose from.
The first, Amore, is a single-detached unit with a lot area of 100-189 square meters. Duplex units, called the Dolce, have a lot area spanning 76-144 square meters. The third, Bacci, are quad units with a lot area of 55-68 square meters.
Terrazzo de Sto. Tomas is also Ovialand's first masterplanned community. Costing P500 million in total, the development sits within a 5.8-hectare property, 55 percent of which will be open spaces. Its amenities include a sports and recreational court (inclusive of a mini football field and a basketball half-court), a multipurpose clubhouse, a swimming pool, and landscaped pocket gardens.
Ovialand's business unit head, Fatima Olivares-Vital, states that the company sees Southern Luzon as a coveted location for new real estate, what with its recent boom in development. According to Olivares-Vital, "the financial readiness, land development, and evolution of style of living are slowly but progressively turning the region into the newest hotspot for people looking for meaningful property investments."
Ovialand's parent company MCDC has two other projects in Batangas: Bamboo Grove in Calamba and Eco Verde Homes in Rosario.
