Overturned trailer spills dirt, delays traffic on Hwy 99 near Buck Owens Blvd

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A crash involving a semi-truck and an SUV has delayed traffic on northbound Highway 99 after the semi-truck’s trailer overturned, spilling dirt across lanes Thursday morning, according to CHP’s Traffic Incident Information Page.

The crash was reported at 8:41 a.m. on northbound Highway 99, at the Buck Owens Boulevard Highway 99 onramp, according to the page.

A crash between the semi’s second trailer and an SUV collided in the second lane of northbound Highway 99. The impact of the crash overturned the second trailer and spilled several tons of dirt across the first, second and third lanes of the highway, prompting officials to close all three lanes.
