ORLANDO, Fla. - Troopers are investigating a crash involving an overturned semi-truck in Orlando on Friday morning that caused debris to be scattered over the highway.

The crash happened shortly before 7:30 a.m. on southbound SR-417 at Lee Vista Boulevard.

All lanes were blocked at the time of the crash as fire officials assessed the scene. Troopers have since opened the outside lane to traffic, but the inside and center lane remain closed as of around 11 a.m.

In an update from Florida Highway Patrol on Friday morning, FOX 35 has learned that the semi-truck was headed south on 417 when it veered into the inside lane and "overcorrected to the right." That caused the truck to overturn.

The truck driver and its adult female passenger, were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, troopers said.
