CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was struck and killed overnight in Uptown, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said Wednesday.

Officers responded to calls regarding the incident around 4 a.m. near Graham Street and 9th Street. A pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle was found suffering from injuries and was pronounced dead.

Details surrounding the exact circumstances of the incident have not yet been released.
