Overland Park opening a storm debris drop-off site

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Overland Park will be opening a storm debris drop-off site after overnight thunderstorms swept through the metro area.

The site will be at 11921 Hardy St. from Wednesday, May 29 to Saturday, June 1 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Proof of residency will be required. Residential debris will only be accepted. No commercial vehicles are allowed to drop of debris. Residents should plan to remove debris from vehicles themselves, or bring help.

Overland Park will also be doing curbside debris pickup for a limited area beginning on Tuesday. to see a map of of where pickups will be, you can click here.

The curbside pickup area will expand, with more locations to be announced later in the week.
