Over 900 students expected for You Matter Day in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Students who want to learn more about agriculture in the Central Valley, and would like to make a difference in the county, are being invited to You Matter Day 2024 in Fresno.

The Office of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools will be holding its annual You Matter Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, in partnership with Every Monday Matters and OK Produce.

Organizers say the event is towards learning about the agriculture business of the Central Valley, as well as creating meaningful memories. It will include food, music, fresh produce, and many hands-on activities to help students make a difference and support local communities through their volunteer work at a variety of booths.

The event is free to the public, and organizers expect over 900 students to attend.

The annual You Matter Day will be held in OK Produce located at 2012 S. Pearl in Fresno. Organizers advise attendees to park their vehicles near the intersection of E. Woodward Avenue and S. Pearl Street. There will be also a bus drop-off available at the location.
