Over 100 pounds of meth, cocaine discovered during AR traffic stop

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Over 100 pounds of methamphetamine and cocaine were found during a traffic stop in Pope County, Arkansas, Wednesday, according to Arkansas State Police.

At around 3:30 a.m., ASP pulled a vehicle over near mile-marker 77 on Interstate 40.

Police say 120 pounds of methamphetamine, 21 pounds of cocaine, and multiple marijuana vape pens and products were located during a search of the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to the Pope County Detention Center. He is charged with trafficking a controlled substance and possession of a schedule VI controlled substance with the purpose of deliver.
