Outdoor production of 'Theory of Relativity' starts tonight at Tamaqua Area

May 18—The Tamaqua Area Drama Club will present an outdoor production of "The Theory of Relativity" starting Thursday and continuing through Saturday at the Tamaqua Area High School courtyard.

The modern, one-act musical is set in a physics classroom at New York University and deals with the students' traumas, concerns, anxieties and joys.

Club members include seniors Helen Florea, Grace Kinder, Anna McCabe, Gracie Nallon, Megan Oswald and Jonathan Ulicny; juniors Stephen Behun, Timmy Berg, Amaris Means and Hunter Ruch; sophomore Denny Krell; freshmen Koreena Bittner, Thomas Graham, Grant Johns, Lorena Olayo-Estrada, Christopher Smith, Destiny Steinmetz, Cecilia Ulicny and Ava Vengen; eighth grader Isabel Nallon; seventh graders Corabel Najarro and Frank Wagner; and sixth grader Henry Mylecraine.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Desserts, coffee, snacks and beverages will be available for purchase prior to the show.

Tickets can be purchased online at tamaqua-area-drama-club.ticketleap.com/the-theory-of-relativity/ or at the door beginning an hour before each show, if still available. Seating is limited. Tickets are $15 and will help pay for the cost of flying services for the club's November production of "Tarzan."
