Oui! United High School welcomes back 1995 foreign-exchange student

United High School boys soccer coach Curtis Jones, far right, shows a 1995 team picture to Bruno Jouffroy, man in glasses, as Jouffroy’s wife and children look on. Jouffroy was a foreign exchange student from France in 1995, and was Jones’ teammate at the time. Jouffroy’s wife, LaRochelle, and their three children, Noélie, Adam and Lisa, toured the Salem school along with Jouffroy.

United High School enjoyed a visit from an old friend on April 22. Bruno Jouffroy of France, who was a foreign exchange student at United High during the 1995-96 school year, toured the school Monday. His visit was coordinated with Keith Martig, who was a guidance counselor at United High School in 1995, during Jouffroy’s visit. The former student, who now works as a high school principal in France, stopped by the Salem area with his wife and three children. During Jouffroy’s visit, he met up with his former teammate on the boys soccer team, Curtis Jones. They played together in 1995, which was the soccer program’s first year. Jones, a freshman during that season with Jouffroy, now is the boys soccer team’s coach.
