OU Coaches Caravan returns in 2022 with stops in OKC, Tulsa, Dallas and others

NORMAN — After several years of being dormant, the OU Coaches Caravan returns this spring, beginning April 28 in Tulsa.

Sooners football coach Brent Venables and women's basketball coach Jennie Baranczyk will appear at all seven stops on the tour, which will conclude May 26 in Oklahoma City. Men's basketball coach Porter Moser will participate in the stops in Duncan and Wichita, with more possible if his schedule allows.

Other stops are scheduled for Amarillo, Texas on May 10, Duncan on May 12, Houston on May 17, Dallas on May 19, and Wichita, Kan., on May 24.

The caravan stops will begin at 6:30 p.m., lasting approximately two hours and featuring dinner and talks from the coaches concerning their coaching philosophies, visions for their programs and fan involvement.

"I have been incredibly impressed with the mindset, attitude and buy-in from our players since I was hired in December," Venables said in a release. "They are embracing our standards and they understand the importance of the culture, mentality and togetherness we're developing.

"The Coaches Caravan is an opportunity to share our vision with our fans and supporters, and how we're executing it. I'm looking forward to hitting the road and I know Coach Baranczyk and Coach Moser are as well. It's going to be a fun series of events."

Toby Rowland, the radio voice of the Sooners, will emcee all but the Dallas and Oklahoma City events.

Tickets cost $40 each for all but the Houston, Dallas and Oklahoma City events. Those three are $50 each (drinks included). Tickets can be purchased at SoonerSports.com.
