A Springboro man was the victim of a fatal collision on northbound Interstate 75 in Miami Township Monday morning, officials say.

James Hartman, 47, was struck and killed by a blue 2019 Freightliner Cascadia semitruck after he walked into the right lane around 9 a.m., according to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Officials said Hartman was transported from the scene to the Montgomery County Morgue. The Montgomery County Coroner's Office has not determined the cause or manner of death.

The truck's driver has been identified as Goram Crvenkovic, 28, of Quebec, Canada, officials said. He was transported to the Sycamore Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
