Oshkosh police investigating substantial battery incident at Wisconsin Resource Center
OSHKOSH – Police are investigating a “substantial battery incident” that left one man injured at a treatment facility for state prison residents Tuesday.
According to a news release from Oshkosh Police Department, a 56-year-old man was transported to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah for injuries after reports of a substantial battery incident between two men in the courtyard area of Wisconsin Resource Center at 1505 North Drive, Oshkosh.
Officers responded to the report around 2:52 p.m. and described the situation as an isolated incident between two individuals. The other individual was identified as a 41-year-old man.
No one else was injured as a result of the incident. The two men were not identified as employees of the Wisconsin Resource Center.
Oshkosh Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident.
