OSBI investigating officer-involved shooting in Calvin

CALVIN, Okla. (KFOR) – The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says the Hughes County Sheriff’s Office has requested the bureau’s help with an officer-involved shooting in Calvin, Oklahoma.

According to authorities, earlier that evening, Hughes County deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop south of Atwood. The driver failed to cooperate and led deputies on a pursuit.

OKCPD investigate shooting in SW OKC, suspect in custody

The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Clovis Lee Reeves Jr., came to a stop in a rural area near 377 Road and 144 Road in Calvin.

Police confirm Reeves exited his vehicle armed with a firearm. Deputies pursued him on foot for a short distance before the shooting occurred. Reeves was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital where he is currently in stable condition. The deputies on scene were not injured.
