OSBI investigates disappearance of two women in Texas County

TEXAS COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) – The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the disappearance of two woman in Texas County in the Oklahoma panhandle.

According to the OSBI, the Texas County Sheriff’s Department requested the bureau’s help on March 30 to investigate the suspicious disappearance of 27-year-old Veronica Butler and 39-year-old Jilian Kelley.

Officials say the two were traveling together to pick up children, but never made it to their destination. Their car was found abandoned near Highway 95 and Road L, south of Elkhart, Kansas in rural Texas Co.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Butler is 5’4″ with red hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue short sleeve shirt, denim shorts and Hey Dude shoes. Kelley has brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing light washed jeans, a long sleeve shirt and tan or beige shoes.

Butler also has multiple tattoos including a Chinese symbol on her left forearm and a sunflower on her left shoulder. Kelley has a tattoo of a butterfly on her left forearm.
