Orlando weather: Temperatures to fire up across Central Florida, heat index could soar to triple digits
ORLANDO, Fla. - Central Florida can expect a blend of clouds and sunshine on Friday.
A weakening line of showers and storms is approaching the region, and some areas may experience a leftover shower or downpour around midday.
High temperatures on Friday will be in the low to mid-90s across most of the region, and the severe weather threat remains to our north, with the possibility of a late morning storm around Ocala or Gainesville.
As the weekend progresses, Saturday is forecast to bring a mix of clouds and sunshine, accompanied by the hottest temperatures of the year so far. Heat index values could exceed 105°F in specific locations. Additionally, a few cooling seabreeze showers are possible on Saturday afternoon near coastal areas.
Due to an approaching front, there is a higher likelihood of more widespread, scattered showers and storms on Sunday. Some of these storms could be strong.
A few isolated seabreeze showers and storms are possible on Saturday, with highs in the mid-90s.
There are better chances that storms will take shape on Sunday, with multiple waves of off-and-on rain and storms.
Looking ahead to next week, temperatures are expected to decrease slightly, with highs in the lower 90s. Humidity levels will also decrease slightly.
