Orioles fastest to allow 100 homers

The Baltimore Orioles set a dubious record on Tuesday night by becoming the fastest team to allow 100 homers.

New York Yankees outfielder Clint Frazier's homer in the fifth inning -- his second of the game and the third allowed by Baltimore right-hander David Hess -- was No. 100 against Baltimore in just 48 games.

The 2000 Kansas City Royals held the previous mark of reaching triple digits in 57 games.

The visiting Yankees won the Tuesday contest 11-4.

The Orioles, who are allowing more than two homers per game, are on pace to shatter the season mark of 258 allowed by the 2016 Cincinnati Reds.

New York catcher Gary Sanchez also homered off Hess in the first inning Tuesday.
