Organ Mountain boys topple Roswell to advance to New Mexico 5A quarterfinals
LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KTSM) – The Organ Mountain High School boys basketball team secured a 79-70 win over Roswell in the opening round of the New Mexico Class 5A high school basketball playoffs on Saturday.

Organ Mountain was led by Brandon Kehres as he dropped a game-high 26 points.

With the win, No. 2 Organ Mountain advances to the Class 5A quarterfinals and will face off against No. 7 Los Lunas. The game will take place at the University of New Mexico’s The Pit in Albuquerque, NM next Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. MT.
In Class 2A, No. 3 Tularosa grabbed a 60-49 win over No. 14 McCurdy in the opening round on Saturday. Tularosa will play No. 6 Texico on next Wednesday at the Rio Rancho Events Center.
Over in Class A, No. 13 Mesilla Valley Christian School suffered a 51-36 loss to No. 4 Melrose.
