Oregon State turns the ball over to Oregon in a hilarious and horrendous trick play
Some trick plays are best left on the dry-erase board or the practice field. Just ask Oregon State.
The Beavers gave the ball to Oregon in the third quarter on Friday thanks to a trick play that the Beavers had no business running. It was a reverse that involved two handoffs and an ill-fated toss backwards to quarterback Jake Luton.
Seriously, just watch it. We’re not going to waste any words trying to describe it.
How did the Beavers think that was going to work? There wasn’t enough misdirection to make Oregon’s defenders overcommit and the pass back to Luton was just a terrible decision piled onto a play already going wrong.
Oregon’s Twitter account enjoyed it though. The Ducks retweeted the video after Fox posted it.
The Ducks scored a touchdown four plays after recovering the fumble to take a 28-point lead in the Civil War.
