Oregon Pacific Bank Acquires South Valley Bank's Trust Department

FLORENCE, OR--(Marketwire - Sep 27, 2012) - Oregon Pacific Bank's (OTCBB: ORPB) Trust and Wealth Management division is pleased to announce that the Trust Department of South Valley Bank & Trust is now part of Oregon Pacific Bank's comprehensive fiduciary services organization.

In the wake of Washington Federal's pending acquisition of South Valley Bank & Trust, Oregon Pacific Bank is merging South Valley's trust department into its own well established trust and wealth management division. Washington Federal does not offer trust services while Oregon Pacific Bank has the resources to encompass South Valley's former trust department.

"We are delighted with the new relationship with Oregon Pacific Bank," says Diane Dombras, the former South Valley Vice President responsible for the bank's trust department. "Oregon Pacific Bank gives our clients a firm foundation with expanded services, and more financial management options than ever."

"Our clients who have wills, trusts, agency accounts or conservatorships, can look forward with total confidence to our continued dedication to client service and to the backing of an institution with deep roots and expertise in wealth management," adds Dombras. "You'll still get a live person on the phone, your accounts won't change, and your relationship manager remains in place. The only difference is that we're called Oregon Pacific Bank, and that we're bigger and better than before." Dombras has been named as Vice President and Manager of Oregon Pacific Bank's Trust and Wealth Management, Medford office.

Oregon Pacific Bank President Jim Clark welcomes the expansion of the Trust & Wealth Management service area. "If there is anything we can offer to enhance the relationship between South Valley's Trust Department's clients and our local experts, we want them to know that we're here to serve," says Clark. "Oregon Pacific Bank is adding a fine, experienced staff and professional account management to the mix. This is not a takeover, this is simply a transition. Clients will notice only that additional services are available to enhance their strategic planning for long-term financial strength."

"Oregon Pacific Bank was established on December 17, 1979 as a state-chartered Bank with headquarters in Florence, Oregon. Trust and wealth management services were introduced in 1996 in order to provide a full array of financial services to the communities in which we serve," states Pat Riley, Sr. Vice President and Director of Oregon Pacific Bank's Trust & Wealth Management. "We are committed to bringing our clients comprehensive and individualized wealth management solutions along with the same high level of client service that they have enjoyed with South Valley Bank & Trust."

"We welcome client questions and suggestions. My staff and I are available during this transition," adds Riley.

Many of the products offered by Oregon Pacific Bank's Trust and Wealth Management Division are not FDIC insured, are not guaranteed by Oregon Pacific Bank and are subject to a loss of principal.
