Orbitz names Mike Randolfi new CFO

Orbitz names Delta Air Lines executive Mike Randolfi as chief financial officer

CHICAGO (AP) -- Orbitz Worldwide Inc. said Friday that it has appointed Mike Randolfi as the online travel company's chief financial officer.

Randolfi is currently the senior vice president and controller at Delta Air Lines. He will join Orbitz on March 11.

Orbitz CEO Barney Harford said that Randolfi's deep travel industry experience and proven track record make him superbly qualified to lead the finance team at Orbitz.

David Belmont, who has served as interim chief financial officer for the company, will return to his position as group vice president, financial planning and analysis.

The company, based in Chicago, operates websites such as CheapTickets, RatesToGo and its namesake site.

Shares of Orbitz fell 32 cents, or 8 percent, to $3.50 in morning trading.
