‘Orange Is the New Black’ Star Slammed for Tweeting About Airport Agent’s Comments

“Orange Is the New Black” star Danielle Brooks recently tweeted about an airport experience where an agent told her she was “lucky” to fly first class, but people on Twitter are calling her overly sensitive and a “s— starter.”

On Thursday, Brooks, who stars as Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson on the Netflix original series, tweeted, “I hate when gate agents look at me like I’ve never flown first class and say ‘You’re in first class, lucky you! Really tho.”

The post has since been deleted, but many responded on social media, calling Brooks out for “pulling the race card” and being “stuck up.”

However, some fans rushed to the actress’s defense, claiming they’ve had similar situations and have never seen a “white person being told that.”

The fourth season of the hit show starring Taylor Schilling, Uzo Aduba, Laura Prepon, Natasha Lyonne and Taryn Manning recently premiered on Netflix.
