Oprah Is at the Royal Wedding, and Twitter Is Having a Meltdown About It

Oprah Winfrey surprised, well, everyone by rolling up to the royal wedding bright and early on Saturday, May 19. She, along with Idris Elba, were among the very first guests to arrive, and Twitter promptly went into a tailspin of excitement.

Winfrey looked incredible in a blush-pink Stella McCartney dress—whipped up overnight, apparently, as her initial choice was too white—along with a hat from Irish milliner Philip Treacy. She casually chatted with Elba as she strolled into the church, and then promptly had to take a hot minute to find her seat (celebs, just like us).

Twitter freaked out as footage and images of her heading into the wedding began to appear. After all, she's the closest thing to royalty America has. First, there were the announcements of her presence:

There were lots of "And you get a...!" memes—because how could you pass this up?—whether it was princes or hats (we'll take both). Even the BBC got in on it:

Some celebrated her dedication to the cause:

Others celebrated her incredible outfit:

Conspiracy theories about her actual role at the ceremony abounded:

Even people who weren't obsessed with the royal wedding were thrilled to see her, because Oprah brings people together like that:

Basically, it can be summed up like this:
