Opening statements will begin today in the trial of James Crumbley

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– A jury has been picked and opening statements will take place today for the trial of James Crumbley, the father of the Oxford high school shooter, Ethan Crumbley.

Jury selection for James Crumbley begins today

It took two days of jury selection in an Oakland County courthouse and now, nine women and six men will decide whether to convict Crumbley with four counts of involuntary manslaughter for each student who was killed.

His wife Jennifer, has already been convicted on those same charges and will be sentenced in April.

The jury for James Crumbley is expected to be sworn in by 8:30 this morning.
