Meghan Markle may crash websites left and right with her enviable fashion choices, but when it comes to influencing the fashion landscape, it seems that the Kardashian-Jenners have her beat.

Given Markle’s role as a global fashion icon, her inclusion on Lyst’s annual “Year in Fashion 2018” report should come as no surprise, but if you thought the 37-year-old claimed the top spot, think again. According to Lyst, the most influential celebrity was none other than Kylie Jenner.

We can’t say we are shocked given how much of trendsetter the 21-year-old is in both the fashion and beauty space. Per Lyst’s report, the beauty mogul has “driven more than two million searches this year, from Adidas tracksuits and Dior sunglasses to Victoria Secret underwear and Alexander Wang minidress.”

Trailing closely behind the reality star was big sister Kim Kardashian West, who earned second place on the list. According to Lyst, the mom-of-three is reportedly responsible for reviving the Fendi logo after posting herself dressed completely in the FF "Zucca" monogram, which boosted searches for the brand 16 percent month after month.

Markle came in at number three, beating the likes of Serena Williams, Blake Lively, and Cardi B. While the Duchess of Sussex may not be the number one fashion influencer, we can’t discount the power of “The Meghan Effect." Speaking on Meghan’s fashion influence, Lyst revealed, “On average, if Meghan wears a designer, that brand will see a +200 percent increase in search demand over the following week.”

As the royal's style continues to grow in influence, she just might snatch the top spot next year. Time will tell.
