One shot, pedestrian struck in incident west of Charlotte: MEDIC

MECKLENBURG COUNTY (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two people were taken to the hospital following an incident Sunday night just outside of Charlotte city limits, according to the Mecklenburg EMS Agency (MEDIC).

Authorities were called around 8:15 p.m. on April 21 to a Shell gas station on Sam Wilson Road near Interstate 85.

MEDIC says one person was hit by a vehicle and taken to Atrium CMC with serious injuries. Another person at the same location was taken to Atrium CMC with life-threatening injuries after a shooting.

Officials have not said if the two incidents are connected or where the shooting happened.
