Man strikes parked vehicle, house after shot in west Charlotte: CMPD

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A man was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries after he was shot during some sort of fight and drove away from the scene, striking a nearby parked vehicle and then a home, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police announced.

The shooting happened around 4 p.m. Friday, April 26, in the 2600 block of Mulberry Pond Drive.

As officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot. He was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

CMPD said some sort of argument between two parties escalated and at least one gunshot was fired. Police said a man was struck by gunfire during the dispute and quickly left in his vehicle.

The man then drove a short distance away before striking a parking vehicle in a driveway. The vehicle continued on and struck a nearby home, CMPD said.

The investigation into this case remains open and ongoing.
