One person killed in Lancaster County crash

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a crash that left one person dead on Saturday.

Troopers say the accident happened on Route 222 in Brecknock Township in the early morning hours of March 30.

State Police say a BMW, possibly dealing with a mechanical issue, was trying to pull over to the side of the road when a Porsche SUV rear-ended them. The SUV lost control and was then hit by another vehicle.

Jazmin Dietrich, 38, of York was a passenger in the BMW and was pronounced deceased after being taken to the hospital.

The driver of the Porsche was also injured.

The northbound lanes of Route 222 were closed for about five hours as State Police investigated the crash.
