One person killed in house fire on West Spruce Street
SAULT STE. MARIE — One person died as a result of a house fire late on Monday night in Sault Ste. Marie.
At 11:18 p.m. on Monday, April 15, the Sault Fire Department responded to a call at 346 West Spruce St. to find the home in flames. Firefighters were told there were multiple occupants in the home, but only one person was found.
Authorities said the victim has not yet been properly identified. They are approximately 39 years old, but no other information has been made available regarding the victim's identity.

The cause of the fire is still unknown and being investigated. The fire department asks anyone with available information to contact central dispatch at (906) 495-3312.
