One person injured after Eastham fire on Saturday

Eastham firefighters responded to a brush fire and a house fire around 2:24 p.m. on Saturday in the area of Locust Road and Colony Way, according to the fire department's Facebook page.

A second alarm was called to bring more manpower to the scene due to the two fires. One person, not a firefighter, was taken from the scene with non-life threatening injuries.

A fire official said by phone Sunday that further information was not immediately available.

Mutual aid companies assisted from the towns of Orleans, Harwich, Brewster, Chatham, Dennis, Truro, Yarmouth and Wellfleet along with Eastham town staff and the Barnstable County Sheriff's Office.
