One person and a child injured after motorcycle crash in Kansas City: police

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a child, in Kansas City on Wednesday morning.

The crash happened at 72nd and Ward Parkway after a Ford Ranger entered the intersection from a stop sign and was hit by a motorcycle traveling northbound.

According to police, the motorcycle was carrying two passengers, one was a child. The driver, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the bike and later taken to a hospital with critical injuries. The child passenger, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

The crash report also said the driver of the Ford was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the Ford’s passenger was not injured in the crash.

Police said the motorcycle’s child passenger and the Ford’s passenger are both in stable condition. The investigation is currently ongoing.
