‘One of Mobile’s most beloved public spaces’ turns 200, celebration planned

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The City of Mobile, the Downtown Parks Conservancy, and community stakeholders are preparing to hold a bicentennial celebration of “one of Mobile’s most beloved public spaces.”

According to a press release, a celebration for Bienville Square’s 200th Anniversary is set for May 24 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

LOCATION:

Mayor Sandy Stimpson, members of the Mobile City Council, and community and private partners are inviting residents to the celebration that will recognize the park’s 200-year history and highlight the recent renovations and improvements.

Those who attend the celebration can enjoy lunch in the park with live musical entertainment from guitarist Mark Habib, and grab food from local food trucks: Frank N LoLa’s food truck and Jefe Paletas.
