Victim identified in Sunday New Iberia shooting

UPDATE, 5/13/24, 1:50 p.m.: The Iberia Parish Coroner has identified the victim as Daiquan Branch, 21, of New Iberia.

ORIGINAL STORY: NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY)– One man was killed in a shooting in New Iberia Sunday evening, according to the New Iberia Police Department.

The incident happened on Jordan Street, and officers responded to the shooting around 5:30 p.m.

This is an ongoing investigation, and more information will be shared when made available.
