One man killed in Bremen shooting

BREMEN -- At 2 p.m. Sunday, May 28, the Fairfield County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call of a shooting at 225 South Main Street in Bremen.

Upon arriving, deputies located a male who had been shot. The sheriff's office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol secured the scene and rendered emergency first aid and CPR until Rushcreek medics arrived on scene, according to a news release.

Due to the severity of the injury, the man was pronounced dead.

The incident is under investigation by the sheriff's office and the Fairfield County Coroner's Office.

The victim's name is being withheld pending next-of-kin notifications.
