One injured after shooting at Westgate Parkway apartment complex

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Police are trying to identify a suspect wanted for a Thursday night shooting that sent one to the hospital.

According to Dothan Police, a man was shot in the upper torso in the parking lot of the Westgate Village Apartment complex in the 2200 block of Westgate Parkway.

Police say officers applied a “chest seal” on the victim, who was transported to a local hospital for treatment and underwent surgery. The victim is in stable condition.

The shooting occurred shortly before 8:00 p.m.Four hours after the call went out, police were still on the scene collecting evidence.

No suspects have been named, and police ask for help identifying those responsible.
