Firefighters were able to knock down the fire in around 20 minutes. However, one person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The affordable housing development just opened back in November. The building provides support for people facing homelessness and mental health challenges.

Reports from the scene indicate the fire started inside a unit, and may have been from the battery of a motorized scooter.
