One injured when CMS bus collides with tree in west Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A bus serving Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools collided with a tree Thursday afternoon.

CMS confirmed the incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the 8100 block of Kerrybrook Circle in west Charlotte. The bus was serving Tuckaseegee Elementary School, and there was one person treated for minor injuries, according to Medic.

The number of students on board is unknown at this time.
