One hospitalized after crash in Carroll County

HILLSVILLE, Va. (WFXR)– The Hillsville Fire Department reports one person was taken to the hospital after a vehicle crash on Coulson Church Rd on Friday, May 3.

According to the fire department, crews were dispatched to the 700 block of Coulson Church Rd on a report of a vehicle crash. Crews arrived to find two vehicles involved in a head-on collision with one patient entrapped.

Crews were able to stabilize the vehicle, and removed the front and rear driver side doors to gain access to the entrapped individual.

Crews administered patient care until the Carroll County Fire Department could take the patient to a local hospital.

This crash is under investigation by Virginia State Police.
