Woman killed in camper in St. Martin Parish identified
UPDATE, 5/14//24, 11:15 a.m.: The St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim as Lydia Stegall, 24, Bronson, Texas.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a camper that was flipped over in the 1000 block of Paul Road in Cecilia, following a suspected tornado that traveled through St. Martin Parish. Upon arrival, deputies found Stegall’s body.
ORIGINAL STORY: LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – The severe weather that moved from St. Martin Parish left one dead near Henderson.
According to a video put out by St. Martin Parish Sheriff Becket Breaux and Henderson Mayor Sherbin Collette, there was a fatality on the outskirts of Henderson. The Louisiana Department of Health said a woman died in Cecilia after a camper rolled over because of high winds.
