19-year-old killed in crash with dump truck in Mustang Ridge
MUSTANG RIDGE, Texas - A 19-year-old man was killed in a deadly crash involving a dump truck in Mustang Ridge, police said.
On May 20, around 5 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 15900 block of Camino Real (SH-21) for a crash involving a pickup truck and a dump truck.
Police say the first officer was on scene within 10 seconds and began rendering aid, but the driver of the pickup truck, a 19-year-old man, was killed.
The driver of the dump truck had minor injuries.
Police said preliminary information showed the pickup truck crashed into the rear of the dump truck as the dump truck was waiting to make a turn.
The crash is still under investigation by the Mustang Ridge Police Department.
The Texas Department of Public Safety was on scene and made an arrest that was not related to the crash. There are no criminal charges related to this crash.
