One dead after two-vehicle wreck involving tractor-trailer in Falkville

FALKVILLE, Ala (WHNT) — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says a woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Falkville.

ALEA said 37-year-old Kayla R. Haynes, of Crane Hill, was fatally injured when the 2005 Toyota Corolla she was driving struck a 2016 Peterbilt tractor-trailer at mile marker 322 on Interstate 65 within Falkville city limits.

The agency said the crash occurred around 10:13 a.m. Friday. Haynes was pronounced dead on the scene according to authorities.

ALEA said no other information is available at this time as state troopers continue to investigate.
