First responders arrived on the scene and found a car that crashed into a tree with one person inside. State police said the driver, identified as 63-year-old Glenn Bossinger from Thompsontown, was dead on the scene.

Investigators say they determined Bossinger was driving on Route 235 when his car lost traction due to the wet roadway and excessive speeds. After losing traction, Bossigner’s vehicle spun and crashed into a large tree.

Officials said they temporarily shut down Route 235 as first responders operated on the scene.
