One dead after motorcycle crash in Dauphin County

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A motorcycle crash Wednesday on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Dauphin County has left one person dead, State Police say.

According to the crash report from State Police, the person was riding a 2023 Honda Rebel and traveling west in Londonderry Township on I-76 when they crashed.

The motorcyclist tried to merge from the left lane to the right one and lost control, rolling the bike in the area of mile marker 254. During the time of the deadly crash, the roadway was wet, State Police say.

The motorcyclist was killed in the crash, according to State Police, who did not identify them in the report due to next of kin needing to be notified.
