Victim identified in deadly semi-truck crash

DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — An Ashford man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Dothan late Thursday night.

Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd identified the victim as 26-year-old Christopher Williams.

Police tell WDHN the crash involved an 18-wheeler and pickup truck and occurred near the intersection of Montgomery Highway and Barrington Road. It is unknown how many people were injured in the crash.

The crash closed several lanes on Montgomery Highway, backing up traffic as far as Midland City.

Dothan Police and Fire are on the scene.
