Elderly couple killed in Marshall County crash identified

MARSHALL COUNTY, Miss. — Two people are dead after a crash in Marshall County Wednesday evening, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.

The two-vehicle crash took place near Marianna Road and South Red Banks Road. Marshall County Medical Examiner, James Anderson, identified the victims as Rosie Jeffries and Curtis Jeffries.

Police say the married couple were in their 70s. Rosie was pronounced dead on the scene and Curtis later died at the hospital, according to the medical examiner.

This is a joint investigation between the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
