One arrested in connection to 2016 Edmond homicide

EDMOND, Okla. (KFOR) – One person has been arrested in connection to the 2016 death of a 19-year-old in Edmond.

According to the Edmond Police Department, on October 5, 2016, 19-year-old Jennifer Kyli Molloy was found dead in her apartment near E. Wayne Ave. in Edmond. Multiple leads were followed during the investigation, but no one was arrested.

Officials say around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers responded to a check welfare call regarding a person sitting on the side of I-40 near the Reno/Scott exit.

Upon arrival, a trooper made contact with 28-year-old Joseph Beck, who began talking about how he was involved in a death in 2016. Beck was detained and taken to the Edmond Police station where he was interviewed by detectives.

Based on the information he told police, Beck was arrested for First Degree Murder and taken to the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
