Featuring the return of some familiar faces, the May 18 finale looks set to be a suitably epic farewell for the show after seven seasons and 155 episodes.
The first image will feel very familiar to longtime fans, as the returning Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) are seen back where they began in the very first episode when Regina (Lana Parrilla) interrupted their wedding.
After seven seasons and 155 episodes, #OnceUponATime will bid farewell May 18 - and we were on set for one of the final days of production. “I would definitely say the last episode is as epic as probably any episode that 'Once Upon a Time' has ever done,” Colin O’Donoghue, who joined the show in season 2 as Captain Hook, teases. “It’s like taking the best of all seasons and jamming it into one - literally.” Swipe through to see some exclusive photos, and click the link in our bio for more details about the final episode. #OUAT 📷: Jack Rowand/ABC

Speaking about the scene, executive producer Edward Kitsis noted that,"in the series finale, there's a lot that comes full-circle."
In the second image (click right on the Instagram image above to scroll through the preview photographs), Snow is seen taking charge as she delivers a speech to rouse the troops when their happy endings are threatened yet again.
But one character whose happy ending has never been guaranteed or easy is Regina Mills, who (in the third image) is pictured in what appears to be a dungeon.
"We saved her happy ending for the end," Kitsis told EW.
"I think her journey throughout has really been watching somebody confront the demons within and emerge on the other side a better person."
The finale also promises developments for Alice (Rose Reynolds) and Robin (Tiera Skovbye), who will 'take a big leap in their relationship'.
It seems that another familiar face returning for the finale is Jared Gilmore, who played the original Henry Mills.
In the final Entertainment Weekly image, he's seen sharing screen time with Andrew J. West, who plays the adult Henry, in a scene which seems impossible. Apparently this week's episode will apparently lay the groundwork for it to happen.
With just three episodes of Once left, fans are definitely hoping their favourite characters get the fairytale endings they deserve.
Once Upon a Time will conclude its final season on Friday, May 18 at 8pm ET on ABC. Netflix airs the series in the UK.
