Onalaska man charged with 1st Degree Reckless Homicide in overdose death

ONALASKA, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – An Onalaska man is arrested after police say he delivered drugs to a person who later overdosed and died. 33-year-old Aspen Kalina has been booked into the Jackson County Jail for 1st-degree reckless homicide.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says, in May of 2023, a person was found dead, and an autopsy showed that they died of a drug overdose. After a months-long investigation, detectives say they found evidence that Kalina had given the drugs to the victim.
