Omarosa Responds To Robin Roberts: “It’s A Black Woman Civil War”
It looks like Omarosa Manigault Newman caught wind of Robin Roberts’ comments about her rumored dismissal.
The Good Morning America host quipped “Bye Felicia” following an interview with the former White House aide and reality star Thursday (Dec. 14), after her pre-taped interview with host Michael Strahan.
“That was petty,” Omarosa said to Inside Edition of Roberts’ remark. “It’s a black woman civil war.”
Reports say that Omarosa was removed from the White House grounds after trying to re-enter the residence. However, she said that she was not fired, and resigned on her own accord.
“I resigned, and I didn’t do that in the residence as reported,” she explained. “[White House Chief Of Staff] John Kelly and I sat down in the Situation Room…and we had a very candid conversation.” She noted that she wanted to make the one-year mark, and then “get back to her life.”
During her GMA interview, she also discussed things she’s seen as a member of the White House staff that troubled her as a black woman. These comments prompted the “petty” response from Robin Roberts.
“When I have a chance to tell my story, Michael, I have quite a story to tell,” Omarosa said in the GMA interview. “As the only African-American woman in this White House, as a senior staff and assistant to the president, I have seen things that made me feel uncomfortable, that have upset me, that have affected me deeply and emotionally, that has affected my community and my people.”
