Omarosa releases new video, says Cohen’s guilty plea will bring Trump down

It was an eventful day for those close to Donald Trump who currently find themselves mired in scandal.Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort was found guilty on 8 of the 18 federal charges brought against him, with the judge declaring a mistrial on the other 10. And, probably much more concerning for the president, Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen pled guilty to 8 charges including campaign finance violations in which he implicated Trump as a co-conspirator. On Hardball With Chris Matthews, former White House advisor Omarosa Manigault Newman said she believes that this scandal, out of the many, will be the one to finally bring Trump down.“Today changed everything. This is the beginning of the end for Donald Trump,” Omarosa said. Asked why, she replied, “Because he knows that the person who knows everything about him, about his relationships with these women, and others that people might not know about, are gonna come to light.”Trump has tried to distance himself from Cohen in the past, once tweeting that Cohen had “nothing to do with the campaign.” But Omarosa saw things differently. She even had video of Cohen boarding Trump’s campaign plane in September of 2016.

After showing the video, Omarosa said, “The reason I wanted to share this with you is, first of all, to show you that he (Cohen) was in fact involved with the campaign. Not only was he involved, he organized this particular trip to Cleveland. He spoke at this event.” She added, “…and he sat and met with the president during that trip. He was very involved. He was directing some of the things that were happening. He was impacting the decisions that the president made, as well as the president telling him to fix things.”Manafort will no doubt appeal his guilty verdict, but Cohen, given his guilty pleas, will be spending time behind bars. So, to quote Omarosa in the video, “Michael, say bye.”
