Armenian weightlifter Andranik Karapetyan suffered a gruesome elbow injury at the Olympics Wednesday while competing in the men’s 77kg division.

Karapetyan, still in agony, was led away to get medical attention. It looks like one of his coaches couldn’t even bear to watch:

Karapetyan, who is 20 years old, obviously was not able to finish the event. Kazakhstan’s Nijat Rahimov won the gold medal.

Karapetyan’s injury is the second gut-wrenching injury of the 2016 Olympics. French gymnast Samir Ait Said broke his leg on the first official day of competition (Warning: Link contains graphic video).
